Flatwork progress with Louie

On Monday, Louie had his third flatwork lesson, with the fantastic Cathy Burrell. In between working on our poles and jumping, we've been working hard on keeping consistency in our flatwork. All the hard work is proving to be paying off.

Louie is becoming much more stable in his contact, taking less time to settle into it when beginning our sessions. He is also beginning to take the contact forward and out more, allowing him to work more over his back, & stopping curling up and behind the contact.

Our trot work is coming on nicely, although we're still working on keeping rhythm and fluidity. The walk is also progressing, although needs to extend and relax forwards. Our canter is making progress, but Louie remains right lead dominant, however, with Cathy's guidance we'll be working more on how to get Louie more off the inside leg, & avoid holding him out.

Our next lesson is 22nd March, where we hope to have made further progress, but for now, here's a couple of snaps from the lesson :)
