Our First British Dressage & A Red Ribbon to Match

One of my aims with Louie in 2017 was to have a go at British Dressage... & today we did just that for the first time!! Not only did we give it a go, we came first in our section, and 3rd in the overall class!

& here's our test...A little tense than our test two weeks ago. Louie couldn't quite figure out why there was a judging hut at H, but I was how he continued to work and listen to me throughout. We scored 63.2%.

6 Picks...of 2016

One of the directions I would like my blog to take in 2017 is to use reflection & looking back on our journey to spur us on further & drive our motivation to continue to improve. So I wanted to take a look at 2016 to see if we can highlight the highs & learn from the lows to keep us on track as we head into 2017... I've tried to do this through choosing just SIX picks from throughout the year.

Here we go...

Dressage Success to Start 2017!

Today, we headed out to Alnwick Ford Equestrian for a couple of Prelim dressage tests, hoping for better weather than we'd seen on Thursday, Friday & Saturday, but prepared for every eventuality. Fortunately, temperatures were much higher, there was no rain, and the sunshine even came out at times!!

Both smiling & both enjoying a great day out together!

2017: The Next Chapter

Today is two years since mine & Louie's partnership started. I was so excited to get Louie home and begin our adventure together. We've had a blast so far, & can't wait to see where the next 12 months will lead to!

Ariat Saga Full Zip

Anyone who knows me, knows that I feel the cold all year round, so I love a great find of a winter warming item of clothing!

Santa very kindly brought me an Ariat Saga Full Zip Jacket, so I thought I'd give it a bit of a review for anyone looking for a lightweight, non-bulky way of keeping warm this winter.

December Round Up

WOW! Don't they say time flies when you're having fun... Well, we've been having lots of fun & have missed a few posts out during December as a result!!

First....

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We had a fab Christmas, fairly quiet, but just what we needed - full of relaxation, rest & time away from the office which we spent, obviously, in the saddle enjoying these views!
