Shires Stretch Hood with Full Face

Following all the cleaning that we'd done in preparation for Louie's first dressage competition, I didn't want his to decide to use his poop in his stable as a pillow & so invested in a Shires Stretch Hood with Full Face.

I'd read mixed reviews about this type of product in regards to it slipping, and whether the stain just soaked through. Both were put to bed - it did not slip nor did the stains soak through (& there were plenty of marks on it to prove I was right to use it!)

Louie is about 16.1, maybe a touch over, and as he's just a baby, quite narrow in his chest and neck, so I opted for the 15.2-16.2 size. At first, it looked like it could be tight, but when fully fitting it, it fitted well. I could see that a chunkier 16.1+ might be a tight fit...

All the stitching, zips and velcro are robust, and the velcro comes with removable tabs for when it is stored to stop it clicking against the lycra.

It your worried about keep show condition after hours of cleaning, I'd recommend this to help you overnight. I was worried my plaits may come out, but in fact they were all in tact the following morning - another element it could help you with.

Again, this was another product that I bought from The Black Horse Shop.
