About this deal

Erba Pura is so nice and playful it’s a youthful scent. When I smell it, I vision a person that’s cool with anybody and puts a smile on everyone with their jokes and their presence. Kirkè would be someone that’s a bit more serious but still very playful. You get what I mean? When i was born, my mother planted a 'farmer' Jasmine (Philadelphus coronarius) in our garden to celebrate my birth (since my name is Jasmine).

The depth of this fragrance lies in its meticulously crafted base notes, where rare and precious woods intertwine with warm, resinous undertones. A lingering trail of sophistication is left in its wake, a testament to the artistry that is XerJoff Erbapura. Erba Pura opens with sparkling fruits and develops into a smooth, creamy, musky blend that's just to die for. I've never been a fan of fruity fragrances and this DNA is the only one I can tolerate. This is not a safe blind buy! I originally bought this because I thought it was a dupe for Rasasi's Jasmine Wisp since this is allegedly similar to Erba Pura. Worst decision ever... I ended up selling it 2 days later because I couldn't get past the awful top notes that stayed all the way to the dry down since they lingered heavily. It smells like a stronger more sour/spiced version of the fruits in Britney Spears' Fantasy EDP (kiwi, quince and litchi) + a strong heavy dose of amber. I love amber and fruity notes but I couldn't handle the fruits in this fragrance. This smells NOTHING like jasmine wisp and I haven't smelled Erba Pura before but if it's true that they're similar then I won't ever have to. I enjoy the fruits + creamy amber and vanilla DNA of these fragrances but I prefer the passion fruit, coconut and jasmine in Jasmine Wisp way more. When it comes to the team Byrdie fragrance wardrobe, the limit does not exist. Essentially it’s Emily Algar's job to constantly spritz fragrance, so she's pretty confident when it comes to a standout floral note like jasmine. She has also enlisted the help of a fragrance expert to help break down the how and what of this particular flower. Kirkè is airy, light and less sweet (but still sweet don’t underestimate that), smells like a fresh peach ice tea that gets creamy.I scrubbed and scrubbed. Couldn’t get it off. Took two showers. Actually even went swimming. It was still there. But that nose shaking intensity that’s almost cloying ( which is what I love ) that you get from BIR? That Jwisp has ALL of that!

HOWEVER, I will say that it is a top-tier layering fragrance, and depending on what you choose to mix it with, the fruits are brought out in an equally expressive yet much more refined way. For instance, I layered my sample size of Erba Pura with a few sprays of L'Eau d'Hiver by Frederic Malle, and the frosty, frigid vibe helped to cool down the fruity Erba Pura and turn the vibe refreshing, enhancing on the otherwise subtle tropical aura it brings. I will say, there is a lot going on here and this is definitely a very sweet fragrance. To me, though, it's not cloying and smells of quality. In other words, it's not your run of the mill celebrity fragrance to my nose. I can't stand Miami Glow, Midnight Fantasy, most coconut-heavy fragrances, etc. but I adore this. I think to create a gourmand that blooms in the heat, one really has to look to middle eastern parfumery, which is exactly the case here. This is the only type of summer fragrance I truly enjoy-- oriental, woody, boozy, and gourmand, but coming from lush, tropical fruity notes and not sharp citruses or overwhelming praline. Rich, opulent, sultry, sparkling. I adore this fragrance and has been my best blind buy to date. On the first spray I get a citrus-like blast which is a little sharp and I'm not mad about that, which calms down and settles into a creamy, coconut hug. The fruit doesn't disappear, infact it seems to swirl itself around the coconut, much like a ripple and the white florals just give this a little nudge. From what I understand there are no oudh notes but I think coumarin might have a wee hand in that and give an 'oudh' like wink into the mix? I don't get any sharp notes that people are mentioning, and I also don't get any oud (I think people might confuse tonka and amber interplay with oud).Ohohoo, I totally understand why this one got so popular! Such a happy fruity fun scent! But it does have a character, must be the musk with amber. I wasn't convinced that man would pull this off, but when I sprayed it on my mans pillow, boys, I stand corrected! It is totally great manly scent! I wanted it for myself but now I think my man would pull it off even better.

Treat yourself to this perfume La Yuqawam Jasmine Wisp that will make you unique, no matter where you are! This was truly the worst fragrance decision I’ve ever made. Saw how hyped up it was on YouTube. Touted as ‘tropical juicy’ AND beast mode? I knew I needed it. I personally dislike the heavy, cloyingly sweet Bvlgari Noir with its monstrous wallop of tonka beans, licorice, patchouli, and musk. It is unbearable to me and thus a completely unsuitable substitute for the Montale here. Besides, that one is an oriental floral and this is a pure floral soliflore. I don’t see a point in making a comparison at all anyway. Voile de Jasmine was a pale mix of faint jasmine, mimosa, musk, and citrics on my skin, very weak in comparison to this sumptuous soliflore. From the moment Erbapura graces your skin, it is a journey into a realm of unparalleled beauty. The opening notes unfold with a burst of freshness that is nothing short of divine. Crisp citrus nuances dance alongside lush green accords, setting the stage for the symphony of elegance that is about to unfold. If you’re new to niche lines or are looking to explore outside of your normal scent profile I would say this is a good place to start if you like sweet. It’s safe enough that you’ll find comfort in it being like what you’re used to hit different enough that you’ll find something in it you’ve never tried before and it will open a new door for you that you will not regret walking through and exploring more.

As the fragrance evolves, the heart notes unveil a lush floral bouquet, a harmonious interplay of blooms that exude timeless grace. Rich jasmine and velvety rose embrace each other in a dance of pure luxury, creating an intoxicating and captivating allure that defines the very essence of Erbapura. I don't love this, but I like it very much. Grapefruit and musk predominantly, inbetween it takes on a fruit candy like smell, those candies that don't have a specific fruit named, they're just 'fruit candy' - that's all that needs to be said about the actual scent, but my word the performance on this is other-worldly, I don't think it ever dissipates. One of my aunts, the older sister of my father, used the most perfect perfume I've ever smell. I have no idea which one it is; in fact, my perfume collection started because I was searching for her perfect perfume. That amazing essence impregnated everything she touched, and it mixed with all the gifts she gave me. These are different scents, and it's probably a fluke, but I am testing them side by side and on the skin they are very similar. In both openings I get a chocolate gardenia with orchid. In the dry down, I get hazelnut in CP but not in La Yuqawam Femme.
