About this deal

I was hoping this might be a wonder product that helps take off my makeup - but alas it's more a take the day off when I am having a makeup-free day or after an oil cleanser first -- but that is fine. I hope that CeraVe one day bring out a line of an oil cleanser to remove makeup because I would pledge my allegiance and they would be the ultimate holy grail products!! As we mentioned above, the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is able to clean without stripping your skin of its natural moisture thanks to the inclusion of ceramides. In fact, all CeraVe skin care products contain essential ceramides that your skin needs to help restore and maintain its natural barrier. A healthy skin barrier is crucial for soft, smooth, healthy skin. In fact, you can compare the importance of a strong, intact skin barrier to the importance of having a strong, intact roof on your house. If your roof is damaged or weak, the interior of your home could be damaged by things like rain, wind, or even animal intruders. Similarly, a damaged or weak skin barrier allows things like bacteria, pollutants, or other irritants to pass through the top layers of your skin and cause damage. Plus, a weak barrier also allows moisture to escape from the skin. Ultimately, this leads to common skin concerns such as acne, rashes, and sensitive skin. Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number). The formulation has a velvet foam texture once lathered and I found it does not strip my skin of natural oils to make it feel tight and dry.

MVE Technology: This patented delivery system continually releases moisturizing ingredients for all day hydration Very happy with my result. Ever since my initial use, I started using it daily in the evening to wash off SPF and other dirt on my face. They have a whole range of cleansers, suited to different skin types and needs. CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser is the latest one, but strangely enough, it hasn’t launched (yet?) in the United States (I don’t know why!). But it has been sold in Europe and Australia for several months already. CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is claimed to do all of the things a normal cleanser would do — remove dirt, makeup, and other debris — but without disrupting the skin’s natural protective barrier or stripping the skin of its natural moisture. It is a non-comedogenic face wash that works well on all skin types, even those with acne-prone or sensitive skin.A surfactant molecule contains one end that is hydrophilic (attracted to water) and one end that is lipophilic (attracted to oil). This allows surfactants to attract and suspend oils, dirt, and other impurities that have accumulated on the skin and wash them away, leaving the skin clean.

Traditionaloil cleansers use oils and other nourishing ingredients to help hydrate and thoroughly removeimpurities, dirt, and excessoilthat can build up on your skin. We recommend choosing aformulathat combines oil-based ingredients and surfactants, like ourHydrating FoamingOil Cleanser, whichcleanses without disrupting the skin barrier or stripping the skin of essential moisture. Personally i didn't love the smell of it BUT this is because it has no nasty fragrances in it which is such a plus!! Gently massage the product onto your wet skin - emulsifying the oil cleanser into a foam consistency and avoiding the area around the eyes.As an avid double cleanser, I am always looking for a wide variety of different cleanser types that can suit my skins needs on any particular day. The CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser is a gentle but effective cleanser which has become a staple in my skin routine. I reach for this cleanser when I feel like my skin needs a thorough clean, whether that be because I applied makeup, high SPF, or have just generally had an active day out in the elements and need to thoroughly clean my skin. I more commonly use this as my first cleansing product.

The ideal body wash or facial cleanser should help thoroughly cleanse, without over-stripping your skin or leaving it feeling tight and dry. To use your daily face or body cleanser, begin by wetting your skin with lukewarm water and massaging the cleanser gently onto your skin in a circular motion. Next, rinse, pat dry, and continue with the rest of your body care or facial skincare routine. A few months ago, when the American skincare brand CeraVe announced the launch of their Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser, I was super excited! I’m a huge fan of CeraVe cleansers, and I was thrilled that the brand finally released a product dedicated to makeup removal. Except… well, they didn’t! I’ll tell you the story about this misunderstanding, and give you my thoughts on this Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser 🙂

Ingredients:AQUA/WATER, GLYCERIN, PEG-200 HYDROGENATED GLYCERYL PALMATE, COCO-BETAINE, DISODIUM COCOYL GLUTAMATE, PEG-120 METHYL GLUCOSE DIOLEATE, POLYSORBATE 20, PEG-7 GLYCERYL COCOATE, PEG-150 PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRASTEARATE, PPG-5-CETETH-20, PEG-6 CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC GLYCERIDES, SQUALANE, CERAMIDE NP, CERAMIDE AP, CERAMIDE EOP, CARBOMER, TRIETHYL CITRATE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, SODIUM COCOYL GLUTAMATE, SODIUM LAUROYL LACTYLATE, SODIUM HYALURONATE, CHOLESTEROL, CITRIC ACID, CAPRYLOYL GLYCINE, HYDROXYACETOPHENONE, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, CAPRYLIC/ CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, TRISODIUM ETHYLENEDIAMINE DISUCCINATE, PHYTOSPHINGOSINE, XANTHAN GUM, BENZOIC ACID. (Code F.I.L. C273796/1) However for me, it lost a star, as I was a bit confused about the product being marketed as an “oil cleanser”. As someone who has double cleansed for years, on days when I wear make up, and have tried multiple balm/oil cleansers as a first step to remove makeup, this product was not marketed as a makeup remover. I tried it at first like instructed then decided to use it like my usual oil cleanser (DHC) but found it less effective at removing makeup, and stung my eyes. It does foam up quite a bit when using with water and doesn’t leave any oily feeling to the skin (great!). In French, there is less doubt. The name “Huile Lavante Moussante Hydratante” is rather clear (if you speak French obviously lol). The name suggests it’s a face and body wash oil, not a makeup remover. And it’s also a category of products that is quite common in France, especially if you visit pharmacies. Most of the pharmacie brands have one ( Aderma, La Roche Posay, Avène, Bioderma, Eucerin… and so on!).
